CHED Scholarship 2024 | Accepting Online Applications
This year, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) offers the CHED Merit Scholarship 2024 to those who qualify.

The CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMSP) is a government-funded award that supports academically bright students, particularly those from the following specific groups:
- RA 7279 applies to underprivileged and homeless persons;
- While RA 7277 applies to those with disabilities; and
- RA 8371 applies to single parents and their dependents.
CHED Scholarship Benefits
What are the qualifications?
- Must be a Filipino citizen.
- Graduating high school student/high school graduate with a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 96% for Full Merit Program and 93% to 95% or comparable for Half Merit Program.
- Student-applicants from special groups of people, such as underprivileged and homeless citizens under Republic Act (RA) No. 7279, people with disabilities (PWDs) under RA No. 7277 as amended, and solo parents and/or their dependents under RA 8371, must submit certifications and/or identification cards (IDs) issued by the appropriate offices or agencies.

What are the requirements?
A. Citizenship
Certified true copy of Birth Certificate.
B. Academic Requirements
- For incoming college freshmen:
- High school report card.
- For graduating high school students:
- Certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12.
C. Financial Documents
Applicants must submit any one of the following, depending on their situation:
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian.
- Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
- Certificate of Indigence from Barangay or Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
- Case Study Report from DSWD.
- Proof of income or latest contract for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) or seafarers.
- Special Groups of Persons
- For applicants belonging to special groups under specific laws (e.g., underprivileged and homeless citizens, persons with disabilities, solo parents, senior citizens, indigenous peoples), submit:
- Certifications or IDs issued by appropriate offices or agencies.
D. Programs
Students must enroll in Priority Courses identified by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
